This vacancy is for a Supervisory IT Specialist (Data Mgmt) position in the Department of Commerce located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.
This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Supervisory IT Specialist (Data Mgmt), 2210, 15, FPL GS-15 positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
Duties
Architect, design, develop, test, and deploy data driven web applications and information systems.
Lead project teams in developing software for large generalized systems with high volume/big data.
Serve as key representative and subject matter expert for adoption of new technologies and standards.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes experience in high volume web applications as well as big data processing and analysis; knowledge in HTTP protocol, common RDS and NoSQL platforms. Leading/overseeing others in development and building of web applications; experience with web languages such as: PHP, Laravel, Python, JavaScript, Vue, and Angular; and consulting with customers and subject matter experts to refine requirements through modeling and/or prototyping. Experience in planning, developing and integrating a Rule Engine (mechanism to automate and execute "business rules").

Education: Education cannot be substituted for this grade level.
