As a supervisor/manager, the selectee for this position will be eligible to receive a Manager Performance Incentive (MPI) provided eligibility requirements noted in agency policy are met. The MPI is an annual lump-sum incentive payment that considers agency performance, the manager's individual performance, and available funding.This position is within the FAA, ASH, Office of National Security Programs and Incident Response (AXE), Washington Operations Center Complex (AXE-100).

Duties

The incumbent serves as the Deputy Division Manager of the Washington Operations Center Division, AXE-100. Typical duties include but are not limited to the following: oversees the day-to-day operations and administrative function of the Washington Operations Center (WOC). Monitors and analyzes aviation related events, situations and incidents; and as required, prepares and delivers presentations and briefings to the Secretary of the Department of Transportation, Administrator for the Federal Aviation Administration, and other key officials. Develops, implements and updates facility processes and procedures to reflect new or changing requirements; and ensures adequate documentation is established and maintained.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-I, FG/GS-13 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.Specialized Experience is defined as:Experience managing and/or working in a 24/7 operations center. ANDExperience integrating automated tools and services.You should include relevant examples of the specialized experience in your work history.
