You will serve as the Administrative Support Assistant (OA) for the Home Based Primary Care, Nursing Service located in VA Puget Sound Health Care Center (VAPSHC), Port Angeles, Washington.
Duties
You will provide services include palliative care, rehabilitation, disease management and coordination of care.
You will be responsible for tracking financial, personnel, supply, contracting, procurement, and other administrative transactions.
You will prepare various personnel actions and recruitment forms to be submitted to human resources, to include official word documents and forms for Incentive award and/or recommendations going to the Awards Committee.
You will provide data data/reports related to the administrative, clinical, and technical aspects of the HBPC program to the VISN 20 Network Office.
You will be the Automated Data Processing Applications Coordinator (ADPAC) for HBPC and GEC. Attends ADPAC meetings and training classes, informing the Program Manager of any changes that may have an impact on the service.
You will analyze and solve problems in a positive, goal-oriented manner and to make clear, well-defined recommendations.
You will document control, filing, and retrieval system development must be suitable for managing a significant volume of time sensitive correspondence.
You will manage a variety of administrative, clerical, and technical functions of the office, which affect the accuracy and reliability of processes of the HBPC Program.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7:30 am- 4:00 pm

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
GS-06 grade level: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Executive level clerical or administrative support; developing, editing, proofreading various forms of correspondence; managing suspense's; set deadlines, track, and report metrics; timekeeping and ability to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service.

Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary with routine walking around the Medical facility. Work involves some walking, standing, bending, stooping, reaching, and some lifting (5-10 lbs.) and carrying light items such as papers, books, supplies, etc. Duties require mental concentration and alertness. Requirement to meet reporting deadlines is an ongoing demand. Sitting at a computer terminal may be required on a daily basis.
Work Environment: The work is typically performed in an office environment. Working in VAPSHCS involves everyday risks and discomforts, but normal safety precautions. Personal safety is foremost in all situations. The position may include travel between both divisions and Community Based Outpatient Clinic's (CBOC) of VAPSHCS.
