This vacancy is for an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) position in the Department of Commerce located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.
This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA), 0303, 7, FPL GS-7 positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
Duties
Provide personnel, procurement, training, payroll, travel and other administrative services to an entire Department
Serve as liaison with Acquisitions Division (ACQ) and the Shipping and Receiving Section for Division purchases, from initial request to receipt of products.
Research catalogs, General Services Administration (GSA) schedules, and a variety of other sources to identify sources and procure new equipment, supplies, and services, etc., via government purchase card and CREQUEST System.
Serve as liaison with the Human Resources Division (HRD) in matters relating to placement, classification, leave administration, performance rating, incentive awards, etc.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: For the GS-7, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-5 and GS-6 in the Federal service. Experience for this position includes: Providing personnel, procurement, training, payroll, travel and other administrative services to an entire Department; Utilizing automated systems such as (CBS, ETMIS+, TMIS+, MAXIMO, COMPRIZON-CREQUEST, etc.) to process travel and other administrative forms; Utilizing personnel regulations, procedures, and deadlines as they apply to submission and processing of various personnel actions to coordinate all other miscellaneous personnel activities; Utilizing procurement management regulations to maintain inventories, account for furniture, equipment, and space; and Issuing parking permits, ordering stock furniture and mechanical equipment, and distributing travel and purchase cards.

Education: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement.
