Duties
Division Chief over the Service Readiness Support Division and supports J-3/5 with operational logistical support and service across all DLA Troop Support supply chains, Combatant Commands, Military Services and Whole of Government partners
Participates with the Military Services in preparing integrated logistics support plans for the Combatant Commands, Joint Staff and DOD customers
Manages Service Weapon System Readiness across all Troop Support supply chains to ensure major combat systems are maintained at a high state of readiness for worldwide employment
Provides oversight to the management of all operational logistical support across the supply chains, to include under crisis action response, humanitarian assistance/natural disaster relief, and wartime conditions
Provides senior level briefs to Commanders, Directors and Regional Commands
Directs, coordinates, and issues policy and strategic direction for programs, plans and objectives

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Customer Operations Manager, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Participates in conferences, meetings, and presentations involving problems and issues of considerable consequences, Justifies, defends and negotiates on behalf of the organization, in obtaining or committing resources and in gaining compliance with established policies, regulations or contracts, Exercises significant responsibility for advising management officials of higher rank, Experience with Weapons Systems, Provides full-service sustainment for the readiness and mobilization needs of US military personnel worldwide and agency partners, and Provides leadership and direction to team through subordinate supervisors to assure program/project enhancement, mission accomplishments, effectiveness, and compliance with all prescribed regulatory and procedural requirements.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
