You will serve as a PUBLIC AFFAIRS SPECIALIST in the Command Suites, Special Assistants of NMRTC CAMP LEJEUNE NC.
Duties
You will provide journalistic, photographic, marketing, and administrative support to the Public Affairs Officer.
You will conduct research, writing, composing and proofreading of news and rapture articles, providing graphics, layout and design utilizing desktop publishing software and providing photographic coverage of newsworthy events.
You will exemplify sound journalistic practices, skills sufficient for planning, writing and editing news, newspaper layout, design and style.
You will gather information from a variety of sources and consolidate information to summarize and evaluate programs and activities in news articles.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience in journalism including information gathering, news planning, editing, and interview capabilities.
Experience in marketing techniques, strategies, social media and material design.
Experience conducting researches, analyzing and developing market strategies and designing marketing materials.
Experience in planning, writing, editing news, newspaper layout, design and style; provides graphics, layout and design using desktop publishing software and providing photographic coverage of newsworthy events.
Experience in standard communication, analytical methods and techniques in conveying information, orally and in writing.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
SUCCESSFUL completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; OR LL.B. or J.D., if related.
