You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic in the Public Works Division of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.

Duties

You will install, repair, maintain troubleshoot, test and load new and existing electrical lines, circuits, systems, and associated fixtures, controls, and equipment. You will plan, lay out and construct manufactured items and systems with dovetailed, set-in bottom, burred-bottom, wired or lock seams. You will utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work environment. You will develop patterns and lay out, cut, form, join, assemble and install items with combined straight and curved edges ore irregular angles, planes and curves. You will weld a variety of metals and alloys.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States drivers license.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• Have a valid Environmental Protection Agency Universal Certification for working with all types of refrigerants at high and low pressures.
