Duties

You will develop product support plans, as necessary, based on engineering technical analysis data or other documentation provided. You will provide guidance and expertise on IPS functions and how they should be integrated best into the program/project. You will coordinate with engineering and product assurance to select vendors that meet cybersecurity requirements and participate in vendor qualification inspections to incorporate product support into those inspections. You will review configuration management documents, which includes product drawings, to ensure the program is selecting the right hardware for the design. You will ensure product support requirements from the contractor and other government agencies are realized into program schedules and budgets. You will arrange and conduct conferences and makes formal presentations.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing and performing product support functions (for example: coordinating logistics activities, life cycle sustainment plans, product support), to provide solutions and adequacy in support of the program mission.
