You will serve as an Administrative Support Assistant with responsibility for performing and conducting a variety of support work in the areas of procurement and supply, data processing, property, time and travel, personnel support duties, and program record-keeping.

Duties

The duties may include, but are not limited to: Serves as timekeeper for Time and Attendance processing, in accordance with appropriate system (i.e., WebTA) policies and procedures. Assists employees in the use of the travel system. Remains current with Federal travel regulations and assists employees of the office/program unit in keeping in compliance with them. Assists the office/program unit in responding to common Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests and Department or Agency data calls. Enters and retrieves information from a variety of computer systems and helps other employees in the use of these systems. Serves as purchasing agent for expendable items for the office/program unit. Receives and inventories purchases and deliveries. Assists with recruitment by initiating SF-52s, Requests for Personnel Actions, required for the office/program unit in accordance with established procedures. Assists supervisory staff in onboarding new employees (i.e., signing forms, providing tours and overview, etc.) and out-processing employees who are departing the Program. Prepares and submits the necessary vehicle reports/information to include fleet management credit card (i.e., WEX) transactions, mileage and service logs. Maintains administrative and program files in accordance with Federal records management policies, procedures, schedules and guidelines.

Requirements

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement, including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below. FOR THE GS-06 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates: Maintains a current inventory of property assigned to the Colorado WS program. Responsible for maintaining the monthly mileage and service log on all vehicles leased by the State Office from GSA. Ascertains the nature of phone calls and directs callers to appropriate staff or personally provides the information desired. Serves as purchasing agent for expendable items for the State Office. Assists the Budget Analyst with recruitment by initiating all SF-52s, Requests for Personnel Actions, required for the Colorado WS program. Note: There is no education substitution for this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
