About the Position:
This position is located at Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
Duties
Cleans and removes garbage or debris from interior and exterior facilities.
Performs cleaning of athletic gym area and/or lifting equipment.
Prepares grounds for specific events.
Follows safety regulations when using chemicals and cleaning products.
Assists maintenance personnel with duties such as unstopping toilets, mounting frames, and/or cutting bushes and weeds.
Repairs minor wall damages.
Maintains school floors and/or exterior sidewalls.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- One-year probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- This position requires a Tier 1 (T1) investigation with Childcare Checks since its duties require interaction with children and youth under the age of eighteen (18) years of age.
- A pre-placement medical examination is required.
- This position may include assignments to first or second shift.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Laborer without more than normal supervision. To meet the screen out element, applicants should document experience or show the ability to do the following: removing debris from surface areas; performing cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and/or dusting; and utilizing landscaping equipment to maintain lawn and grounds - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.

Physical Effort: Requires very heavy physical effort such as frequently lifting and moving objects over 50 pounds (moving, setting up and working from ladders and scaffolds).
Working Condition: Works outside in all kinds of weather and inside in areas that may be dusty, dirty, noisy and have other adverse working conditions. The equipment, tools and tasks involved frequently require special care to avoid serious injuries. Occasionally, is exposed to skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions used in stripping floors, etc. and to serious injuries (e.g., broken bones) from falls from ladders and scaffolds.
