This vacancy is for a Director of Communications and Digital Strategy in the International Trade Administration within the Department of Commerce. Responsible for overseeing and managing the Office of Enforcement & Compliance (E&C), Office of Communications, and is responsible for leading, implementing, and overseeing the policies, programs, and objectives of E&C's communication, digital strategy, and new media activities.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government.
To qualify at the GS-15 level:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: You must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:
Managing a staff and resources to accomplish short- and long-term organizational goals;
Advising on subject matters related to U.S. International Trade programs, including antidumping and countervailing duty and related trade remedies (laws, regulations, policies and practices), trade agreements negotiations, and the trade policy formulation process;
Performing digital strategy using SharePoint, PowerBI, PowerPoint, and Drupal software; and
Coordinating and participating in meetings between senior agency representatives and Members of Congress and their staff or committees, members of the press, and/or other stakeholders.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
