This is a "Flexible" position (0-40 hours) with no eligibility to participate in the NAF Employee Benefits Plans.
Duties
Collects sales slips, total sales on cash register, accepts payment from patrons, and makes change as necessary. Maintains related cash records. Keeps work area clean and orderly.
Ability to lead others in a team effort. Knowledge of sanitary food handling and serving techniques. Judgment is required in maintaining standards of sanitation, safety, and service.
Ensures that needed supplies and materials are available. Answers workers' questions regarding procedures, policies, and instructions. Provides information to supervisor on status and progress of work, causes of delays, and overall operations.
Bakes various items, sets up coffee makers and brews various coffees, i.e., espresso. Sets up counters and display cases with condiments and baked goods. Prepares specialty hot and cold drinks, serves customers.
Leads the work of Food and Beverage attendants in the preparation of fast food.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- Must be able to work during the hours of operation to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required for this position. Stands and walks for long periods. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 30 pounds, occasionally lifting and carrying up to 45 pounds.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and a minimum of
4 hours refresher training annually.
- May be exposed to extreme hot and cold temperatures. Exposed to cuts, burns, and danger of slipping on wet floors.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position consistent with acceptable
practices of the trade.
1. Ability to lead other employees.
2. Work practices (keeping things neat, clean, and in order).
3. Technical practices (basic food preparation and handling techniques).
4. Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change.
5. Able to communicate effectively in English
6. Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions.
7. Knowledge of materials and basic sanitation principles.
8. Ability to use and maintains appliances, coffee makers, ovens, stoves and other common kitchen equipment and utensils.
Highly Qualified candidates will have the following:
Possess experience in having worked at a food and beverage establishment
Possess good customer service skills
Knowledge of Serv-Safe
