Duties

***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Provides administrative, logistics, and program support; Provides technical expertise and advice on logistics and contract requirements; Researches and implements new programs and procurements; Prepares reports on clinical productivity; Analyzes data related to expenses, workload, staffing levels, and fiscal issues; Assembles cost and usage data for budget development; Monitors and tracks obligations and expenditures; Monitors the flow of funds through the fund control points; Calculates costs and ensures funding is available; Oversees the supply and and contract staff budgets; Serves as an alternate Contracting Officer Representative; Performs other duties as assigned Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-4:30pm Recruitment & Relocation Incentives: Not authorized Critical Skills Incentive (CSI): Not approved Financial Disclosure Report: Not Required

Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-9 level, you must meet one of the following: Experience: You must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-7) in the Federal Service that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of an Administrative Specialist, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes performing the full range of administrative, logistics, and program support required to support the functionality of the service line; completing full procurement packages and entering into the appropriate portals for approval; and tracking the administrative functions for mandatory administrative requirements within the service line. NOTE: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hours worked per week. ~OR~ Education: Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B., J.D., if related, that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the Administrative Officer position. This education must have been obtained in an accredited in an accredited college or university. NOTE: Transcripts (unofficial or official) must be submitted with your application materials. Education cannot be credited without documentation. ~OR~ Combination: Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education (beyond the first year) and specialized experience, as described above, which may be used to meet total experience requirements for this grade level. The education portion must include graduate courses that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do to the work of the Administrative Officer position. You will be rated on the following Competencies as part of the assessment questionnaire for this position: Budget AdministrationCommunicationManages and Organizes InformationPlanning and Evaluating IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary in nature, but requires pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 35 pounds as well as bending and stooping. Work is performed in a properly lighted, heated, and ventilated business office.
