You will serve as an Administrative/Technical Specialist in the Accounting Division of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division.

Duties

You will research, analyze, and reconcile financial postings using automated financial systems, automated information systems, and data warehouses. You will apply accounting, budgeting, and auditing policies, regulations, laws, and internal controls. You will identify and resolve moderately complex financial accounting problems. You will provide advice and guidance to managers, supervisors, peers and sponsors on specific areas of the assignment project. You will independently handle a broad range of tasks and/or problems.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-03 (GS-9/10 equivalent), in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing detailed financial analysis to identify and resolve financial issues in accordance with accounting, budgetary, or auditing policies, laws, and regulations. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree
OR
