You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the MAGTFTC, MCAGCC, Human Resources Office of MARINE CORPS AIR GROUND COMBAT CTR.

Duties
You will provide staffing and recruitment services resolving problems of more than average difficulty for organizations characterized by hard-to-fill and one-of-a-kind positions (e.g. professional, administrative, or technical fields of work).
You will provide classification services resolving problems of more than average difficulty for organizations characterized by hard-to-fill and one-of-a-kind positions (e.g. professional, administrative, or technical fields of work).
You will advise and assist on the processes and procedures of such programs as, Leave, Performance Management, the Civilian Employee Assistance Program and the Federal Employees Compensation Act.
You will advise and assist on standards methods of dealing with poor work performance or behavior problems ranging from reprimands through such serious matters as morals, discrimination, fraud, alcoholism, drug abuse and mental illness.
You will develop, modify, conduct, and oversee the presentation of basic or refresher training in classification, staffing, labor relations, employee relations policies, procedures, etc.
You will participate in recruitment efforts (e.g., college recruitment or job fairs) to solicit applications for hard-to-fill positions.
You will solve human resources problems that cross multiple program lines (e.g., recruitment, classification, compensation).
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing administrative, evaluative, and/or technical work in support of two or more of the following functional areas: Staffing and Recruitment, Classification, Employee Relations Programs, and/or Labor Relations.
GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing administrative and/or technical work in support of one or more of the following functional areas: Staffing and Recruitment, Classification, Employee Relations Programs, and/or Labor Relations.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
GS-09:
master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.B. or J.D., if related
