This position will provide administrative program support for CSC, and at times, the Program of Administration Directorate. Program of Administration Directorate which is part of the Chief Business Office. Purchased Care programs include the Non-VA Care Program, Patient Centered Community Care Program, State Home Program, Foreign Medical Program, and dependent care programs, including CHAMPVA, Spina Bifida, Children of Women Vietnam Veterans and Caregiver Programs.
Duties
Duties include, but may not be limited to:
Coordinates with Purchased Care Travel Coordinator as needed to ensure flight and hotel arrangements for staff.
Provide incoming visitors with meeting agendas and itinerary, and access to their personal desktops and email as necessary.
Receives and makes distribution to appropriate staff members of electronic messages from VA Central Office or other messages as necessary.
Coordinates and assists Administrative Assistants and key personnel from various departments with routine questions or concerns.
Serves as the subject matter expert for lower graded administrative support staff. Assists in the interviewing process for this staff as needed.
Performs such duties as developing and maintaining databases and reports, and securing, researching, organizing, and presenting background and briefing material.
Serves as the primarily CSC timekeeper, including approximately 240 full time employees.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 08:00 am- 16:30pm
Compressed/Flexible: Flexible
Telework: Position will require on site duties approximately once per month. The rest of the time it is telework eligible. VA supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 10/27/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position, you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

You may qualify based on education and/or experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to:
Recommend changes in administrative policies, devise and install procedures and office practices affecting management and foresee administrative problems and requirements
Utilizing a personal computer to produce professional quality work and use several software systems include Microsoft Office Suite
Taking and transcribing minutes accurately
Develops methods and procedures for office automation tasks and identifies and solves problems in existing methods or procedures
Perform assignments requiring the use of a variety of analytical and other techniques to gather and review complex data and solve problems.

Physical Requirements: The work is primarily sedentary but occasionally requires carrying of light objects, walking, standing and bending. No special physical qualifications are required.
