Duties
You will function as the Command’s focal point and principal advisor for Information Assurance (IA) matters on behalf of the Commanding Officer.
You will develop, implement, and maintain the NPASE IA Program for all networks/systems operated within the NPASE claimancy and send reports to NMCI IA Department.
You will serve as the Command Information Security Systems Officer (ISSO) for NPASE, offering support for the safeguarding of national security information, implementing and developing new information security requirements and policies.
You will validate and sign SAARs; promoting security awareness; conducting training and tracking reporting and assisting with security education.
You will act as a Trusted Agent responsible for execution of responsibilities in accordance with the DOD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Program.
You will serve as the command subject matter expert on release of naval messages. Responsible training and oversight of command personnel in proper formatting and submitting Situational Reports (SITREPs) and naval messages.
You will respond to identified or perceived security breaches IAW DoD/DON policy. Ensure incidents and violations are investigated and reported properly.
You will ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability, reliability, and non-repudiation of the organization’s information contained in and transmitted from systems and networks.
You will implement security laws, regulations, policies, standards, and control techniques.
You will monitor and maintain DISS/NBIS database in accordance with DoD guidelines, including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements, security access forms, and other appropriate forms.
You will track all foreign travel and ensure all requirements, per the Foreign Clearance Guide, are met before travel.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- Designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Technical Support Specialist level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-11 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Ensure IT infrastructure, network devices and systems are compliance with all Department of Navy plans, policies, standards for and are certified to the appropriate level. Manage user profiles, network security, and software applications.
GS-09 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Providing customer service support for hardware/software troubleshooting, ensuring command IT/Security compliance, and other related IT work with moderate/some supervision.
