This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Duties

Reviews adjustments to records for accuracy and completeness. Provides assistance for lower graded personnel. Conducts projects and studies related to the execution of the quality control programs for inventory control and receipts functions. Participates in planning and determining current and future supply requirements to meet customer needs for items of low and medium monetary value. Participates in systems analyses of programs and problems associated with supply systems. Analyzes rejected transactions to determine systemic causes.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health / ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5% of the time.
• Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
• This position requires incumbent to work under adverse environmental conditions.
• This position requires incumbent to pass AA/E security certification/screening IAW AR 190-11.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR GS-09: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes completing a variety of inventory operations tasks such 1) Monitoring inventory reconciliation, custodial balances, physical inventories and adjustments; 2) Participating in programming long range requirements.3) Developing inventory management policies and procedures for a major facility and interfaces with other material management policies. and 4) Developing inventory management policies and procedures for a major facility and interfaces with other material management policies. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. with a major study in business administration, industrial management, or other fields related to the position to be filled. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-07 qualification for GS-09 qualification.
