About the Position: Serves as Chief, Civil Works Branch, with oversight responsibility for the programs and project management activities related to the execution of the District's Civil Works program, which involves activities in support of large, complex, and diversified water resources projects.
Duties
Deliver quality products consistent with directions of higher authority, laws, regulations, and policies.
Ensure the efficient, effective, and timely execution of all assigned programs in accordance with established objectives, schedules, and budgets.
Projects are characterized as highly visible with multiple complexities including technical issues, political interests, public impacts, and environmental sensitivities.
Project management activities are focused on projects which are spread throughout Washington, Idaho, Montana and at times, throughout the United States.
Responsible for development and execution of the District's annual budget for assigned programs.
Supervise and direct Branch employees in their management of various programs and projects through the control of the project parameters of cost, budget, schedule, scope, and quality.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in life-cycle program management involving complex-funded government programs related to Civil Works water resource programs and projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
