This position is located in the Division of Finance, Travel Services Section of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and is responsible for providing advice on Corporation's travel and relocation programs, policies and procedures. Additional selections may be made from this vacancy announcement to fill identical vacancies that occur subsequent to this announcement.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. To qualify for the CG-11: Applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-09 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is experience providing guidance on travel programs, policies, including researching, interpreting, and evaluating multiple sources of information used to draft guidance and responses to inquiries, developing and delivering written and oral presentations on travel program management practices, policies and procedures. OR EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related OR COMBINATION of graduate level education and specialized experience as described above, that together meet the qualification requirements for this position. To qualify for the CG-12: Applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS/CG-11 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is providing technical advice and guidance on travel and relocation programs, policies and procedures; researching, interpreting, evaluating various sources of information and recommending changes in policies; developing and delivering written and oral presentations on travel and relocation program management practices, policies and procedures. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
