Duties

You will be responsible for lab operation to include maintenance, equipment management, tracking along with platform configuration management; hardware development, integration, and test. You will be responsible for the management and oversight of avionics equipment, including functional status and continuous update/improvement of processes and procedures along with the physical configuration of equipment utilized in the laboratories. You will be responsible for documenting, accounting, and reporting on the location and status of equipment; maintaining a parts inventory of electronic components and avionics equipment; and researching, examining, and projecting procurement needs. You will communicate with supply specialists, Contract specialists and end users, in order to plan, coordinate, and/or advise on inventory issues sand pick-ups.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

For GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Researching and inputting for IT procurements for planning and visibility and ensures IT procurements comply with statutory and regulatory requirements; 2) Communicating and collaborating with all internal and external customers prior to execution of procurement to validate the requirement meets procurement policy; and 3) Reviewing and analyzing operational reports and plans, work schedules, planned requirements, and other data to determine and advise on compatibility of planned support programs. For GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Researching and inputting for IT procurements for planning and visibility and ensures IT procurements comply with statutory and regulatory requirements; 2) Communicating and collaborating with all internal and external customers prior to execution of procurement to validate the requirement meets procurement policy; 3) Reviewing and analyzing operational reports and plans, work schedules, planned requirements, and other data to determine and advise on compatibility of planned support programs; and 4) Training other personnel in processes and procedures necessary to complete laboratory actions.
