You will serve as a IINVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Material Management Department of Naval Medical Research Command (NAVMEDRSCHCMD), SILVER SPRING MD.

Duties

You will manage and coordinate the equipment program to include enforcing established procedure for equipment purchase and inventory tracking of all equipment accounts. You will oversee and be responsible for Inventory Management. You will manage Command Property Program for all major and minor equipment. You will serve as system administrator and program manage for equipment management module of the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) system.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Utilizing a broad range of supply and property management program relationship for inventory property management; Using specialized methods and techniques to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of property accounting and supply programs; Analyzing and resolving difficult issues and problems (i.e., supply and accountability processes , work methods, supply data management and day-to day operational procedures); Ensuring proper record keeping of the tagging, tracking, tracking, data collecting, receiving, transferring of equipment and surveying is reflected within the appropriate automated inventory system such as DMLSS or like system; Operating/using supply specialty operating systems/applications/database/programs such as Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS), Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, web browser, and Business Object; AND Ensuring accuracy and accountability of Plan Account and Personal Property equipment data within a medical logistical automated database e.g., DMLSS according to set policies and procedure so that all organizations assets are properly reflected when scrutinized by higher authority. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT: The ability to control, cataloging, requirements forecasting, procurement scheduling, distribution, and overhaul (DX/RX) and disposal of materiel. Executes replenishment strategies to meet enterprise supply planning objectives in order to satisfy customer requirements. Perform inventory reconciliation. Receives, enters, and validates requisition order. Issues material release order to Distribution.
