At the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), we are at the forefront in preventing and detecting terrorist financing, money laundering, and other financial crime. Serve at the nation's financial intelligence unit and protect the United States financial system from criminals and terrorist financiers.
Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-13. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
Research, analyze, collect, and produce financial intelligence data and reports, study trends and patterns, identify intelligence gaps, and apply a range of qualitative and/or quantitative analytical techniques to predict and assess areas of vulnerability;
Develop and apply new or revised program methods, strategies, procedures, and technologies to carry out program activities;
Conceptualize, plan, draft, edit, and present analytic products to customers.
Qualifications
Specialized experience for the GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience in ALL of the following:
- Designing and executing projects to analyze large data sets, such as Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) data, to develop actionable findings; AND
- Identifying and producing written analytical reports on financial crimes or illicit finance, using multiple information sources, such as Bank Secrecy Act data; AND
- Communicating analytical findings with stakeholders.
Specialized experience for the GS-12: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience for this position is defined as experience in ALL of the following:

- Producing written analytical reports on financial crimes or illicit finance using multiple information sources, such as Bank Secrecy Act data; AND
