Duties
As a/an Director (Recapitalization Closing and Post-Closing Office), you will:
Research, develop, analyze, and implement closing policy for preservation programs and activities assigned to or undertaken by the Office of Recapitalization.
Direct and oversee post-closing activities including, but not limited to: preparation of dockets and closing records; administration of escrows for capital repairs; disbursement of grant and rehab funds; and quality control of closing/post-closing processes.
Provide and oversee advice given to Participating Administrative Entities (PAE) and their attorneys in planning the closing process, by reviewing their procedures and addressing any Office of Recapitalization program issues, including both routine and non-routine matters and those that are complex and interrelated.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Managing and overseeing the operations and activities of a team which has responsibility for preserving, developing, or financing, affordable multifamily housing or other types of commercial real estate transactions; AND-Interacting, coordinating, or representing federal, state, or local level agencies (e.g., Public Housing Agencies) or industry groups that are active in multifamily housing or other commercial real estate, to ensure timely and appropriate actions and to consummate multifamily commercial real estate transactions in accordance with applicable rules and regulations; AND- Underwriting, developing, or closing real estate transactions utilizing Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and other forms of financing used for affordable housing preservation activities.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
