You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Naval Hospital Guam of US NMRTC GUAM.
Duties
You will develop and administer the command’s Information Security Program (ISP) and Personnel Security Program (PSP) for US Naval Hospital (USNH) Guam and its Branch Health Clinic.
You will ensure maintenance of database files, records for Human Resources driven programs, responsible for tracking, analyzing and reporting trends associated with JPAS (changed to NBIS), DON CAF, and Joint Clearance and Access Verification System.
You will maintain and ensure proper control of system software, such as those providing encrypted sensitive investigation documents for completion, initiates request, determine interim security clearance eligibility.
You will monitor, direct, and develop command procedures for the Classified Material Control program and the handling of classified and sensitive materials.
You will serve as the Command Security awareness Coordinator.
You will formulate and coordinate the command’s security education and awareness program for all levels of military and civilian personnel assigned to USNH Guam.
You will assist the Anti-Terrorism Officer and the MTF Emergency Manager in command policy or other areas with regards to security and OPSEC.
You will serve as the commanding officer’s advisor and direct representative in matters regarding the eligibility of personnel to access classified information and to be assigned to sensitive duties.

- This position may require travel to places within and outside the contiguous United States which could include remote or isolated sites. You may be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- If eligible for permanent change of station, the appointee will be required to sign a transportation agreement to establish a Government time in service requirement of 12 months.

- May be required to obtain a VISA dependent on the overseas country's laws/regulations.

- Work is sedentary. The majority of the work is performed in a windowless office.
- Occasional duties may require local travel to other facilities to determine security conditions.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and administering the command's information security program (ISP) and personnel security program (PSP) to ensure safeguarding of information, personnel, property, assets, and/or material from theft, loss, misuse, fraud, disclosure, espionage, or sabotage.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.
OR
Have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a master's degree.
OR
Have obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
