You will serve as an Aircraft Systems Inspector in the Fixed Wing and Rotary Wing Aircraft Divisions, in the Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Production Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will operate ground support equipment such as air compressors, generators, gas turbine air starters, hydraulic test units and ground air conditioning units. You will utilize safety practices and procedures following established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean work area. You will use all tools of the trade such as ground support equipment, test sets, power supplies, cockpit instruments, gauges and controls in performing assigned duties. You will use and assure proper fit of required safety PPE for him/herself and all others working on assigned aircraft.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications

Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the job elements and screen out listed below. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION. 1) Performing daily, pre-flight, turnaround, post-flight and special inspections on all assigned aircraft and their associated components 2) Briefing and debriefing the aircrew on aircraft performance and systems operations prior to as well as after test flights 3) Analyzing flight discrepancies and their impact in order to initiate necessary repairs to ready the aircraft for additional flights or for transfer 4) Ensuring all pertinent data is forwarded to Logs and Records for entry into aircraft logbooks 5) Effectively using all tools of the trade such as ground support equipment, test sets, power supplies, cockpit instruments, gauges and controls in performing assigned duties.
