You will serve as an Equal Employment Specialist in the Command Operations Department of FLTREADCEN EAST.

Duties

You will assist in leading EEO/Reasonable Accommodation programs and policies and implementation in accordance to Federal EEO statutes. You will conduct meetings independently and achieve policy driven resolutions in a timely manner in accordance to DON and EEO policies and manage high level of multi-tasking of assigned tasks or programs in a time sensitive environment. You will report to the Deputy Director EEO for FRC East and work with the Complaints Manager or the Disability Manager within the EEO department. You will counsel employees and applicants for employment who perceive discrimination in job related matters. You will conduct fact-finding into allegations of discrimination by thoroughly researching all aspects of the issues. You will identify barriers to equal employment opportunity for members within competencies and when necessary during fact finding.

Requirements

Qualifications

FOR THE GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Counseling employees on perceived discrimination in job related matters; (2) Using techniques as mediation and negotiating to facilitate resolution and conducting fact finding into allegations of discrimination; (3) Identifying barriers to equal opportunity and developing a portion of the activity's affirmation employment plan; and (4) Identifying systemic related problems and analyzing the work force of competencies to identify particular occupations and lines of progression in which members are underrepresented. FOR THE GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-07) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: (1) Counseling employees on perceived discrimination in job related matters; (2) Using techniques as mediation and negotiating to facilitate resolution and conducting fact finding into allegations of discrimination; (3) Identifying barriers to equal opportunity and developing a portion of the activity's affirmation employment plan; and (4) Identifying systemic related problems and analyzing the work force of competencies to identify particular occupations and lines of progression in which members are underrepresented. - Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree

- 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

- LL.M, if related

GS-09

- Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
- 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

- LL.B. or J.D., if related
