Qualifications
You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. It is available for your review on the OPM web site at OPM qualification standards Specialized experience: is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Candidates for the GS-09 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as having at least 4 of the following:
Specialized experience for this position is defined as having at least 4 of the following: (1) Serving as point of contact for procurement of essential goods and services from simple acquisitions to more complex purchases involving special terms and conditions; (2) coordination of human resources duties such as talent acquisition, position classification, training, employee benefits, and performance management; (3) Supporting administering the budget for program areas; administering and monitoring expenditures to ensure cost-effective support of programs and policies; (4) Providing support to include managing calendars, scheduling meetings, recording and distributing minutes of confidential or sensitive meetings and generating and routing documents for approval; and (5) Using various automated systems or programs to manage and track functions such as personnel and payroll, travel booking, parking and transit, uniform program, awards program, and time and attendance.
Qualifying on Education:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related to the duties of the position.
