Serves as a supervisor over the Spatial Data Management Team, exercises full responsibility and delegated authority for planning, managing, directing, coordinating, evaluating and executing the regional programs and activities assigned. This position is located in General Services Administration, Public Buildings Service of the National Capital Region. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties

Evaluate and analyze Spatial Data Management (SDM) data and processes for accuracy, identifying and reconciling errors to improve program effectiveness, enhance customer satisfaction and/or establish or refine regional policies. Supervise the Spatial Data Management Team (SDM) planning, assigning, and reviewing work; interviewing candidates for positions; making hiring recommendations or selections; maintaining discipline; approving leave/training; consulting with employees concerning complaints; and evaluating performance. Provide technical advice and guidance in solving problems associated with assigning space, auditing procedures, customization and development of assignment drawings, data input, developing queries and generating specific reports. Review and evaluate technical program documents to support space and realty determinations and related decision-making processes to ensure data is entered into AutoCAD, OASIS, and other data management tools.  Serve as a technical advisor and liaison on matters pertaining to space assignments, space types, measurement methods, the National Business Space Assignment Policy guide, Usable/Rentable square feet and other SDM related issues.

Qualifications

For each job on your resume, provide: the exact dates you held  each job (from month/year to month/year) number of hours per week you worked (if part time).     If you have volunteered your service through a National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, Americorps), we encourage you to apply and include this experience on your resume.For a brief video on creating a Federal resume, click here. The GS-13 salary range starts at $112,015per year.   If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.  To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience managing and overseeing Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) or Spatial Data Management (SDM) programs, providing technical and administrative expertise for CAFM or SDM, and leading team members in the accomplishment of program goals and objectives.
