This position is part of the U.S. Development Finance Corporation (DFC) Office of the Chief Executive (OCE). As a Policy Officer, Information Communications Technology (ICT), you will be responsible for advancing and coordinating interagency national security and foreign policy initiatives and strategic goals, in line with U.S. legislation, foreign policy, and security policy for Information Communications Technology to ensure alignment in approach.
Duties
As a Policy Officer, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), you will:
Provide counsel to senior leadership and draft remarks, briefings, and talking points related to ICT policy.
Monitor and analyze political and economic developments in ICT policy, keeping senior leadership informed of trends affecting the agency and U.S. national interests.
Foster collaborative relationships with sector, country, and regional offices related to ICT policy in U.S. government agencies adjacent to the agency.
Assist in influencing officials to accept and implement solutions to address ICT policy challenges that cut across agency offices and departments by enhancing communication and coordination. Identify ICT policy impediments affecting agency transactions and help remove or mitigate them for transaction officers.
Coordinate routinely with the agency's Office of External Affairs (OEA) on substantive inputs for press, Congressional, and non-U.S. government engagements on ICT policy. In consultation with OEA, prepare briefings for and facilitate conversations with congressional staffers on ICT policy.

- This position will require foreign travel to developing countries
Qualifications
Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement.
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Experience coordinating Information and Communications Technology policy such as digital access and inclusion, digital performance, and use of trusted vendors and networks across agencies or organizations; and 2) Experience preparing thorough written documents and otherwise communicating with senior leaders about Information and Communications Technology Policy.
Note: Education is not substitutional at this grade level.
