You will serve as a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST in the NAVAL DIVING AND TRAINING SALVAGE CENTER of NAVDIVESALVTRCEN.

Duties

You will evaluate compliance to determine the impact on supply operations by interpreting supply management regulations or directives. You will review standard operating procedures (SOPs), in accordance with policies and instructions, to achieve supply management objectives, including inventory control management, stock replenishment and material delivery. You will analyze inventory management issues involving supply processes, work methods, supply data management, and day-to-day operating procedures. You will resolve technical and supply support issues for customers. You will use automated supply information systems to review and analyze supply data. You will approve expenditures of Government Purchase Card (GPC) program to procure materials and services.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current forklift license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Requisitioning, receiving, issuing, and/or disposing of supplies and equipment; 2) Performing supply management functions to analyze and resolve difficult supply issues; 3) Monitoring purchase requests to ensure supplies and services are received and invoices are verified for accurate accountability of items purchased; 4) Processing requests and purchases in government supply programs (e.g., Military Standard Requisitioning and Issue Procedures (MILSTRIP), Defense Reutilization Management Office (DRMO) and General Services Administration (GS)). Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

master's or equivalent graduate degree

or

2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.B. or J.D., if related
