You will serve as a TRAINING REQUIREMENTS OFFICER in the Training Requirements and Management Directorate of the SURFACE WARFARE OFFICERS SCHOOL.
Duties
You will serve as Director of the Training Requirements and Management Directorate, responsible for planning, programming, analyzing Surface Warfare training and oversee curricula development and delivery of instruction performed at multiple sites.
You will direct the development, establishment, standardization, and ensure compliance in execution of training program processes.
You will analyze and manage long-range planning, programming, utilization of resources, and the determination of programs and major projects requiring initiating, termination, or change in emphasis.
You will define training program requirements through the Plan and Program Objective Memoranda (POM) process to ensure resources are available to sustain training and meet the Ready for Training date in support of new or modified systems.
You will direct and initiate approval of all curriculum development and maintenance methodologies and training project plans.

Qualifications
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying analytical and evaluative methods and/or techniques to determine effectiveness of a training program; 2) Reviewing curriculum and instructional methods to ensure training is aligned with program objectives; 3) Analyzing program requirements to assure all resources are available to sustain existing training; and 4) Planning, organizing and conducting team studies of training and/or instructional programs to solve issues and provide recommendations.

- Degree: that included or was supplemented by major study in education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position.

- Combination of education and experience -- courses equivalent to a major in education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above.
