You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the OFFICE OF THE EXECUTIVE OFFICER (01), NAVAL ICE CENTER of NAVAL ICE CENTER. This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Duties

You will provide oversight of all administrative services and support for the NIC in the areas of administrative, manpower, personnel, travel and human resources. You will manage the administrative and support services functions in support of the Executive Officer, NIC. You will develop administrative guidelines that improve overall department performance and support NIC missions. You will prepare and administer all administrative reports, orders, correspondence and directives required by the NIC.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: Experience applying Navy Administrative and Civilian Human Resources policies and procedures; Experience preparing navy correspondence in accordance with Navy Correspondence Manual; Experience reviewing civilian and military travel requests via Defense Travel System; Experience serving as command pay and personnel administrator; and Experience advising command senior leadership on military evaluations/fitness reports and civilian performance plans.
