Duties
You will review operational needs and submit recommendations for reduction, realignment, repairs, and maintenance of fuel distribution facilities.
You will interpret, review, approve, inspect, identify, and recommend solutions concerning the construction. Installation, and operation equipment, systems, and materials used to operate and support a fuel distribution facility
You will plan and execute facility projects to include preparation and review of related planning documentation used for sustainment restoration and modernization projects.

- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
- This position may be coded as "key" and as such, you may be required to be removed from military recall status. A signed statement of understanding is required.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for during site visits.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one or more years of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GS-09) or equivalent pay band, or equivalent private sector experience in the same or similar work at a level of difficulty and responsibility that has equipped you with the necessary knowledge, skills or abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position at the GS-11 level. Specialized experience is applying practical knowledge of methods and techniques of engineering, construction, maintenance, and operations of fuel distribution and bulk storage facilities to include the following 1) Assisting in Planning and Estimating to support the construction, repair, and/or maintenance of bulk fuel terminal facilities; 2) Assisting in originating plans or reviewing designs to support the construction, repair, and/or maintenance of bulk fuel terminal facilities; 3) Assisting in assessing current operational needs to submit recommendations for reductions, realignment, repairs, and/or maintenance of fuel distribution facilities; 4) Effectively communicating technical issues orally and in writing.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
