About the Position: This position is located with the Department of preventative medicine Branch at the McDonald Army Health Center.

Duties
Provide Occupational Health services to Soldiers and Civilian employees.
Participate in the Occupational Health Medical Surveillance and Hearing Conservation/Readiness Programs.
Perform selected screening tests such as vision screening, height, weight, blood pressure, spirometry, and temperature checks.
Perform a variety of duties that require understanding of human anatomy and physiology in the performance of varied occupational health screening functions.
Assist in preparation of patient records, coordination and scheduling of Occupational Health Services.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) maintenance is required.
- Subject to periodic and random urinalysis drug testing.
- Hepatitis B Immunization is required.
- Pre-employment physical is required for this position.
- Seasonal influenza vaccination is required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing selected screening tests such as vision screening, height, weight, blood pressure, cholesterol screening, temperature. Spirometry, and audiometric examinations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
OR
Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree with a major study or at least 24 semester hours in subjects directly related to the position, such as, ,Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or Health Informatics.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.
