Duties

This position is located under the Office of Public and Governmental Affairs, in the Intergovernmental Affairs Division, in Washington, District of Columbia. The incumbent plays a key role in the development and implementation of an ongoing program designed to foster partnerships/alliances and effective interchange of information between public interest groups, law enforcement and industry associations, and other organizations interacting with ATF. The incumbent serves as Deputy to the Chief of the Intergovernmental Affairs Division (IGA), acting as a primary spokesperson and liaison for the Bureau with the Department and various public interest groups, law enforcement and industry associations, and other organizations interacting with ATF.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position of Deputy Division Chief, GS-0301-15, you MUST have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector). Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in the resume. Specialized Experience includes: - Providing supervision of subordinates engaged in programs administering federal government benefits and services. - Managing public engagement operations in support of a diverse customer base. - Developing and implementing strategies that achieve an organization's goals. - Utilizing various platforms to produce analytics that enable decision-making throughout an organization. This is a non-bargaining unit position.
