Duties

As the Supervisory Supply Management Specialist your duties will include: Supervising a logistical staff and providing administrative and technical oversight of day-to-day operations Monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating supply operations and activities throughout the NIH Identifying the need for further improvement or changes to existing policies and systems Providing leadership in developing new policy, implementing program policy and position requirements and good business practices related to supply management administration Managing business related efforts by assigning actions, setting priorities, reviewing initiatives, establishing milestones, tracking progress and reporting on advancements Serving as the NIH liaison with other supply management organizations to provide advice on NIH supply policies and regulations

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.
• Employment is subject to the successful completion of the pre-appointment process (i.e., background investigation, verification of qualifications and job requirements, completion of onboarding forms, submission of required documents, etc.)
• Males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.

Qualifications

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: providing administrative oversight in developing supply plans and coordinating supply activities; planning for and developing new policy and program guidance; resolving complex problems in supply support operations; conducting supply management analysis; identifying business process improvements for supply management; and conducting supply related surveys.
