About the Position: This position is a TERM position at US Army Central G3 HQ Section at Shaw Air Force Center in Sumter, South Carolina

Duties

Serve as the Program Analyst, responsible for managing and overseeing the overall planning, direction, and execution of USARCENT Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) mission to meeting war-fighting needs. Develop plans to protect against Theater missile attacks and Unmanned Aerial Surveillance Systems through integration and coordination measures of passive defense. Create methods for measuring effectiveness, linkages, timelines, and improvements to USARCENT programs and plans. Resolve program scheduling, funding, and resource issues. Discuss program plans, policies and requirements with congressional staffers, industry representatives and liaison officers on systems initiatives. Brief General Officers, Senior Executive Service personnel, USARCENT and IAMD stakeholders and external agencies regarding program plans. Analyze and develop methods to enhance accuracy and timeliness of information for the organizations plans. Make sound, well-informed decisions to meet functional requirements for IAMD information support, development, and fielding plans.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
  • This position requires the incumbent to possess, or obtain and maintain, a valid regular or official U.S. Passport.
  • This is a Term position scheduled to last 2 years. A term position may be extended to a maximum of six years depending upon the needs of management
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Analyzing and evaluating plans and programs sued to protect and defend against Theater missile attacks. 2) Evaluating organizational funding distribution and resource allocations. 3) Assessing and determining requirements, conduct research evaluation, and developing recommendations on current and future programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
