About the Position: This position is located with the U.S. Army Research and Development Center (ERDC), GEOTECHNICAL & STRUCTURES LABORATORY.

Duties

Maintain reservations/schedules for training courses and assist employees with the registration process. Order, manage and/or maintain in-house training equipment, or other educational aids and materials Ensure that every proposed purchase complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies Gather feedback from trainers and trainees after each educational session Prepare forms required for all training. Maintain completion certificates and forwards them to the appropriate offices when required. Provide consolidated training report to leadership on a quarterly basis Keep a record of current Individual Development Plans (IDPs) and provide instruction on when changes are required Serve as the authorized official for the training government purchase card

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes analyzing problems to identify significant factors, such as using automated systems to create, modify and write queries and reports; review responses, reports, and memorandums to resolve discrepancies; and communicate effectively (oral and written) organizational information and procedures to employees and/or customers. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailCustomer ServiceDecision MakingWriting Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-04).
