You will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator within NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE at Gulfport.

Duties

You will operate trucks up to 26,000 pound Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) on regularly established schedules and routes. You will transport material throughout the base and public roads/highways for long and short hauls on a routine basis. You will operate gasoline and electric forklifts, weighing 6,000 pounds and up to 15,000 pounds, moving material up to 15,000 pounds, and lifting material in transit up to 12 foot high during operations. You will receive, unload, and process incoming shipments manually or using Material Handling Equipment (MHE). You will use pre-operational inspection checklist to ensure an adequate fuel supply and other general conditions for safe motor vehicle operating.

I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence. B. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection. C. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
