You will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR JACKSONVILLE.
Duties
You will perform basic operator level maintenance(inspecting belts, tires, lights, horns, etc.), which may include corrective maintenance (filling or replacing batteries, tired, or jumpstarting equipment).
You will operate 2,200-gallon refueling trucks (HAZMAT), tractor-trailer trucks, forklifts with a 36,000-pound capacity and below.
You will load and offload equipment for identified transportation method as required.
You will be responsible for maintaining Material Handling Equipment (MHE) readiness for approximately 40 forklifts.
You will visually inspect and fill propane, gas, and diesel tanks and charge battery operated equipment.
You will act as the Material Handler Equipment License Examiner for Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville - issue operator licenses and maintain license and training records.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States Driver?s License and/or Government Vehicle Operator Permit.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Forklift Operator certification.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Class A CDL with HAZMAT Endorsement.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: he ability to perform the full range of tasks including duties of a Motor Vehicle Operator handling refueling trucks (HAZMAT), tractor-trailer trucks, and forklifts; safely handling the controls for starting, stopping, backing, shifting and driving a vehicle; judging overhead and side clearances, turning radius, and braking distance, particularly when moving bulky loads which can obstruct view while being transported; regularly follows all state and federal traffic laws, regulations and safety rules/regulations; operating equipment in extremely tight warehouse configurations in order to maximize the use of indoor storage areas; evaluating incoming materials of various weights and sizes to determine the safest and most efficient method to offload, and ensuring all accompanying documentation is accurate; submitting Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR) via the Product Data Reporting and Evaluation Program (PDREP); utilizing basic computer knowledge and skills in various Applications (Microsoft, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc.) in conjunction with warehouse management software (Navy Enterprise Resource Program [N-ERP], Defense Priorities and Allocations System [DPAS], Expeditionary Management Information System ]EXMIS], Electronic Turn-in Document [ETID]), or similar designated systems used to record receipt, stowage or re-warehousing transactions related to equipment; handling and transporting hazardous materials. I work on my own initiative under general supervision subject to occasional inspection.
