This position is located in the Information, Tickets and Tours Office, Morale, Welfare and Recreation Department. Incumbent assists ITT Manager by leading and directing subordinates, answering questions, passing on instructions, resolving problems which arise, train new employees and ensures the smooth operations in the absence of the ITT Manager.

Duties

Assists patrons in organizing trips to tourist attractions and/or in the purchasing of tickets to a variety of tourist attractions, sporting events, concerts and other recreational activities. Incumbent may make reservations for patrons, i.e., hotel, and dinner show reservations. Maintains a complete and systematic set of records relating to all Military Travel Voucher (MTV) Attractions and Hotels. Contacts various commercial activities and other agencies to obtain up to date information concerning pricing specials, discounts, availability and other pertinent information. May be required to; prepare stock replenishment orders, maintain inventory records- and update current price list. Prepares Daily Activities Reports for the previous days business, maintains personal ticket inventory, change fund, the depositing of cash. May act as a trip escort responsible for the safety and coordination of the group while on the trip. Assists in maintaining overall appearance and cleanliness of the office. Must present a neat, clean and presentable appearance. May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must satisfactorily complete all background checks.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, provide evidence of immunization, be free of all communicable diseases, and obtain appropriate immunization against communicable diseases.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must successfully obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance as needed.
  • Hours of work will vary as required by the needs of the program to include split shift hours, irregular tours of duty including evenings.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience must have been equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Must have good working knowledge of the ITT operation to ensure the smooth operation of the facility. Must have knowledge of local and Florida recreational attractions. Ability to operate a computerized cash register Point of Sale system and skill in cash handling. Must be able to make decisions that affect the operation in the absence of the ITT Manager. Must be able to deal tactfully with customers from divergent backgrounds and deal effectively with the ITT Sales Clerks. Must have a valid driver's license. Must complete and pass a National Agency Check. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience.
