Duties
You will provide database administrative capability and related functions, analyze data, policy and processes related to supply, transportation and inventory management.
You will design and develop complex database tables, queries, and merging data base tables.
You will troubleshoot and resolve issues relative to database management systems.
You will correct noted deficiencies to improve overall operation.
You will serve as the representative at meetings and designed to arrive at solutions to mutual database management problems encountered and to provide knowledge and information concerning state-of-the-art techniques, software, and equipment.
Requirements

Qualifications
GS 11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating knowledge of database software, capabilities, and data management. Such experience should include some or all of the following, 1) Assisting with the maintenance of data mining, data warehousing, data dictionaries and other data management tools 2) Detecting issues and discrepancies in database management systems; 3) Following prescribed procedures and guidelines to install and test new software; 4) Providing assistance, advice and guidance of multiple database management systems to users; 5) Evaluating software effectiveness by preparing reports for review.
GS 12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying knowledge of database software, capabilities and data management. Such experience should include the following 1) Maintaining data mining, data warehousing, data dictionaries and other data management tools; 2) Recommending solutions to resolve issues and discrepancies in database management systems; 3) Installing and testing new software to ensure the quality and integrity of data; 4) Providing assistance, advice and guidance of multiple database management systems to users; 5) Evaluating software effectiveness by preparing reports for review.

Education
GS 11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
GS 12: No education substitute.
