Duties
As a Supervisory Housing Innovation Specialist (MTW), you will:
Participate in activities seeking resolutions for some of the Nation's most complex and plaguing problems associated with low-income housing assistance.
Assist the Director in the development of nationwide policies and procedures relating to the Moving to Work demonstration.
Maintain and develop contacts and convenes meetings with key players both inside and outside of HUD involved in planning and implementing innovations in public housing and low-income housing assistance.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
-Working with the Moving to Work Demonstration (MTW) or public housing programs and regulations impacted by MTW (i.e. occupancy rules, rent policies, Operating Subsidy, Capital Fund, Section 8 vouchers, Family Self Sufficiency, HOPE VI, homeownership, community and supportive services (CSS), housing development and/or financing); AND
- Analyzing issues/problems, developing strategies, and presenting technical solutions to senior management orally or in writing; AND
- Leading a team or work group and monitoring their progress towards achieving project goals and objectives.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
