This position is located at Departmental Offices, Terrorism and Financial Intelligence-Intelligence Analysis-Cyber and Emerging Technology Intelligence Directorate, Cyber Intelligence Innovation Group. As a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist, you will run an OIA team that provides intelligence and research support to senior Treasury officials concerning threats to the national security, foreign policy, or economy of the United States.
Duties
Pursuant to 50 USC 3024 (v), and with concurrence and consultation with the Director of National Intelligence and the Director of the Office of Personnel Management, this position is being established in the excepted service as an element of the Intelligence Community within the Department of the Treasury.
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-15. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. As a Supervisory Intelligence Research Specialist, you will:
- Oversee the branch's research and production program, and in planning, drafting, editing, and presenting intelligence assessments for senior leadership.
- Assist the Group Chief in representing the Department in various internal and interagency working groups responsible for developing strategies and operations related to the specific areas of responsibility of his/her branch.
- Maintain relevant ongoing contacts with other agencies and offices, both domestic and foreign, pursuant to the duties outlined above and in support of the mission.
- Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, and provides input on subordinates' work performance to the Group Chief.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes demonstrated, professional experience in ALL of the following:
-Supervising or otherwise managing the formulation of intelligence research or collection efforts; AND
-Supervising or otherwise managing the development of policies, reports, assessments, memoranda, or classified engagements with the financial services sector on national security topics related to cyber, economics, finance, or terrorism topics; AND
-Supervising or otherwise managing intelligence analysis responses to the financial services sectors requests for information.
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes demonstrated, professional experience in BOTH of the following:
-Formulating, or managing or coordinating the formulation of, intelligence research or collection efforts; AND
-Preparing, or managing or coordinating the preparation of policies, reports, assessments, memoranda, or classified engagements with the financial services sector on national security topics related to Cyber, economics, finance, or terrorism topics.
