These positions are located in the Division of Administration, Internal Review & Business Support Section at the Headquarters Office in Washington, DC of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and is responsible for contract oversight to ensure appropriate vendor management, including controls to support timely and accurate vendor payments, and for overseeing contractors performing services for the Chief Operating Office (COO) Organization.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here. CG-13: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 12 level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience in the solicitation process for vendors to acquire products or services and in the oversight management of assigned contracts. Experience must include preparation of the contract solicitation requirements package, drafting statements of work and industry analysis, preparation of the independent government cost estimate, and regular approval of invoices and acceptance of deliverables. CG-14: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 13 level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience in the oversight management of various types of acquisitions and contracts, and monitoring contractor performance. Experience must include ensuring contract ceiling amounts are not exceeded and invoices are accurate and reasonable for the work being performed, assessing and documenting contractor performance and leading corrective action as necessary, and identifying the acquisition/procurement services needed to support the mission. Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors – if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.
