You will serve as a SUPERVISORY REGIONAL DISPATCH CENTER SPECIALIST in the Operations Department of HDQTRS NDW.
Salary Range for GS-09: $64,957--$84,441
Salary Range for GS-10: $71,531--$92,995
Duties
You will use a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) program to determine information pertaining to specific locations or hazards associated with an incident.
You will analyze images displayed on a closed-circuit television (CCTV) system to identify threats and suspicious activity.
You will coordinate notifications with other agencies to determine suitable jurisdiction and level of service to be rendered.
You will brief on-coming dispatchers of new or old information prevalent to the shift.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications
For the GS-10: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Maintaining a balanced workload, ensuring leave is distributed appropriately between all subordinates, preparing shift schedules to ensure adequate work force is maintained. 2) Advising and conferring with the Director, Emergency Services, the Fire Chief, the Chief, Law Enforcement on the range of issues having to do with the policies, the technical communications and computerized equipment, protocols, and after-action assessment of dispatch operations conducted by the 911 Dispatch Center. 3)Advising and conferring with DON, county, state and foreign officials where applicable on dispatch and communications issues, policy, protocol, etc. Providing supervision of dispatchers while responding to emergency 9-1-1 service calls, reporting unusual and non-routine fire, police, medical and hazardous incidents. 4) Testing and evaluating the operation of emergency radio systems, enhanced 9-1-1 telephone system, and directing emergency and non-emergency telephone lines from the activities serviced. Operating various communications equipment to include Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, National Crime Information Center Computer (NCIC), Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), multiple fire and security alarm systems, and a complex enhanced 9-1-1 telephone system
For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-08 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Dispatching appropriate emergency personnel; 2) Utilizing emergency dispatch and radio communications; 3) Coordinating with local and state public safety agencies; 4) Enforcing the Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) plan for the dispatch center; 5) Supporting the development, instruction and coordination of an Emergency Dispatch Centers training program.
