You will serve as SUPPORT SERVICES SPECIALIST in the ADMINISTRATIVE DEPARTMENT of NVSUPPACTMID SOUTH.

Duties

You will advise others (e.g., civilian employees, military employees, supervisors) on regulatory provisions associated with records management. You will monitor expenditures of departments to ensure funds are used in accordance with the operating budget. You will formulate and issue policies and procedures related to the Correspondence Management Program to ensure all classified and unclassified records are stored and disposed of properly. You will maintain files or records to keep documents organized according to the organization's polices or procedures. You will direct, administer, and manage the Drug-Free Workplace Program for the Command.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing services and information, resolving issues or problems of a procedural nature and recommending actions to eliminate bottlenecks in support services support or in implementing new or modified policies associated with records management; 2) Implementing policies and procedures for control , maintenance, receipt, storage, and disposal of records and unclassified materials: 3) Monitoring budget to track expenditures and ensure completion of annual requirements; and 4) Assisting with administering Drug-Free Workplace Programs (scheduling drug tests, maintain list of drug test positions and incumbents) . Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Have successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree. The major study of such education is in public administration, business administration, industrial engineering, industrial management, or other administrative or management fields related to the position to be filled. OR

Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
