You will serve as a SUPPORT SERVICES SUPERVISOR in the BUSINESS OPERATIONS OFFICE (BUPERS-00T) of BUREAU OF NAVAL PERSONNEL.

Duties

You will manage the division operating budget and services provided to Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS), Naval Personnel Command (NPC), My Navy Career Center (MNCC) and associated command and activities. You will formulate, justify, and execute the budget of central operations programs for voice communications, furniture, supplies, equipment purchase/ maintenance), repair and services. You will exercise managerial control over all functions concerned with providing a wide variety of procurement and logistical support such as stock and inventory management, purchasing, issuing and shipping of items, and telecommunication. You will establish and implement policy for telecommunications, purchase and distribution of supplies, general office equipment, furniture and services. You will manage the Government Commercial Purchase Card (GCPC) Program and serve as the Telephone Services Control Officer.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card to make official government purchases for goods and services.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Directs and manages the procurement and or management of telecommunications; 2) Directs and manages distribution of supplies, general office equipment, furniture and services; 3) Directs and manages inventory of all accountable property and information technology (IT) equipment; and 4) manages the government purchase card program.
