This position is located in the Corporate University, Educational Support Services section at the Headquarters Office in Washington, DC of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and oversees contractors performing services for Corporate University (CU), through serving as an Oversight Manager for CU’s most complex contracts and providing oversight and guidance to collateral duty Oversight Managers and Technical Monitors to ensure appropriate contract administration and controls.
Duties
- Serves as a senior specialist in the area of contract oversight monitoring contractor performance; accepting deliverables on behalf of the FDIC; reviewing and approving contractor invoices; minimizing costs related to assigned contracts; and ensuring contract ceiling amounts are not exceeded and invoices are accurate and reasonable for the work being performed.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the grade 13 level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience monitoring and managing high-dollar value contracts for efficiency, value, and continuing need; preparing and evaluating contract solicitation packages and proposals/applications; monitoring contractor performance to ensure contract ceiling amounts are not exceeded and invoices are accurate and reasonable for the work being performed; and identifying the acquisition/procurement services needed to support the mission.
